To date, very little is known about the work experience of FGPs. What does it feel like to be the “first”? Which barriers make the transition harder? What unique strengths and skills are gained along the way? Growing Forward is the first of its kind study to answer these questions and more.

Why does all of this matter? Because not every organization nor company understands the unique challenges, obstacles, and unknowns that individuals face when they are the only minority in the room or the first to move from a working-class background into a white-collar environment. We have intimate knowledge and expertise in providing the skills and competencies that enable individuals to succeed and incorporate their background as a competitive advantage.
